We Shape & Develop Policies for Environment and Sustainable Development

Building a Healthy Planet, Building a Healthy YOU

Batnon Center for Environment and Sustainable Development is a non-profit organization, committed to the most important challenge of our time: the link between climate change and human health. We work on climate policy, and solutions to climate problems by having a meaningful dialogue with the private, public and academic sectors in the African and international arenas.

Climate change is a substantial factor that will affect global health by intensifying some of the medical problems and adding new ones to the list. Natural disasters are on the rise and air pollution is increasing. Heat waves are among the other items to include in this list of how climate change impacts human health. Among all the affected populations are vulnerable groups which comprise low-income neighborhoods, kids, and old people.

Batnon Center is dedicated to tackling these issues through a comprehensive strategy. We will:

  • Advocate for policies that affirmatively address both climate change and human health
  • Facilitate a sustainable healthcare research and practice agenda
  • Outreach and educate communities, healthcare providers, and policymakers about the health implications of climate change
  • Partner with organizations across the globe to share ideas and best practices

We envision a fair and sustainable future in which everyone has access to clean air and water, safe living conditions, and a higher quality of life

Please join us in working together for a healthier and sustainable planet for everyone.
